Polemika filloi në mediat sociale javën e kaluar kur u njoftua turneu i “On the Run II” i çiftit. Më 12 mars, Beyonce ndau një foto promovuese për turneun në Instagram që tregon këngëtaren në anën e pasme të një motoçiklete të cilën po e nget Jay-Z.
Njerëzit në mediat sociale filluan të bëjnë krahasime midis Beyonce dhe Jay-Z në motor dhe Kanye e Kim në videon muzikore “Bound 2”. Në videon e lëshuar në vitin 2013, Kanye dhe Kim janë gjithashtu bashkë në një motoçikletë.
